Joe Biden was in rare form yesterday at a campaign appearance in Langhorne, Pa., responding to the Republican National Convention with a list of things that John McCain and Sarah Palin left out of their speeches.
Biden lacks the celebrity status of Palin, but he's perfect for the job required of a vice presidential candidate -- taking the fight directly to the opposition. Palin got some nice sarcastic shots in during her acceptance speech, but she's so green the McCain campaign is hiding her from the press, according to Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic.
A senior McCain campaign official advises that, despite the gaggle of requests and pressure from the media, Gov. Sarah Palin won't submit to a formal interview anytime soon. She may take some questions from local news entities in Alaska, but until she's ready -- and until she's comfortable -- which might not be for a long while -- the media will have to wait. The campaign believes it can effectively deal with the media's complaints, and their on-the-record response to all this will be: "Sarah Palin needs to spend time with the voters."

It's funny my impression on VP selection has flipped 180 degrees* from the original announcements. Biden seemed like a "Meh", safe pick and Palin seemed like a really good move to steal votes. Now Joe seems like the perfect hatchet man for Obama and the Palin choice is either inspired or a train wreck. We'll see. Either way, Biden should skip ever referring to other people's famous phrases.

From Rogers' buildup, I thought Biden was going to actually answer the "questions" he raised, in order to knock-them-down with the Progressive's political platform proposals.

How long was this effort to knock-down the strawman arguments? Not one second of it was spent in explaining the "questions" Biden prestends is so damning to the other party! So, the Progressives, with the time to actually show the Republicans up, fail in the same way as their opponents ...
And ... the goosestepping, cheering collective eats this up like the yapping, yellow-dogs they are.
It would be easy for Biden to tell the crowd that the Progressives will take control of 1/4 to 1/3 of the nation's private industry in their claim to be able to provide "universal" (yeah any illegal can get it for that price) health care. Biden could explain how the Democrats will pay for this effort. How the government will control it. What will their "free medical care" insurance allow for treatment? Heart, lung, eye, liver, etc. transplants for EVERYONE???

Santayana was correct. Rogers' knows, but has forgotten (for partisan purposes), but still promotes cupidity in the historicall ignorant collective, by claiming that the "rich" have cake to eat. Meanwhile, he continues to guillotine those who think capitalism has made our nation great ... and he rallies the mob to attack those who are against such communistic (grasshopperish) greed and selfishness ...

That's not what the polls say. Biden is an angry guy with a history of lying about himself, and his kids are crooked as hell. Not that we'll ever see any of that in the news.
The polls show a close race, Mikey. Biden's advantage to the Dems is already becoming clear as Palin says the same canned lines over and over and hides from press scrutiny. The bloom is off the moose.
Biden's son Beau is Delaware's attorney general and a captain with the National Guard who is about to deploy to Iraq. His son Hunter is a founder of the lobbying firm Oldaker, Biden & Belair and the vice chairman of the Amtrak Board of Directors.

P.s. If you read the Retort, you would've seen a story trying to make hay out of the fact that Hunter Biden's a lobbyist. Seems funny to me, given the number of lobbyists at the top of McCain's campaign.

Most of those labeled "Middle America" consider the Washington establishment as "crooked". The Democrat Progressives have just gotten through attacking lobbyists when Republicans were involved ... but then shut, the hell up when it became apparent how much Democrats utilize their "benefits" and would have to testify.
Yet, here you act out so disengenuously to wonder what's wrong with a 'royal' family with a Delaware - Washington lobbying business, and longtime DNC "super" delegate senator, with who knows how many other "supers" in his pocket? A DNC party functionary since the '60s?
"Lobbyists" aren't the "evil" that Democrats made out of them, last year, now eh? Instead, since it is now a Democrat, it is just fine to be a lobbyist if it involves a complex interrelationship between Delaware, Washington and a *high* level lobbyist organization, on the order of an Abramoff gang! Perhaps the Biden lobby firm should reveal their clients so we can see who Biden senior may have supported ... a Grand Jury and *special* prosecutor ... from a Midwest District ... not anywhere near Chicago ... ?
Yeah, it is important to the moral stance of our nation to have a 'royal' political family lobbying the goosestepping members of your party, as well as others who might pretend to be from the opposite side of the Senate (pay them off with earmarks). Isn't that why you think it is so important for the president to have Washington inside status as a Senator .... so that they can get right into the swing of influencing Congress with their son's company, an Attorneys General of Delaware, and the old man, that 'experienced' and 'educated' insider.
You aren't the stand-in for the well dressed lady in the front pew ... you are so wound up in your subjectiveness that you can't even begin to see that you're the 'louse'!
