My alma mater, the University of North Texas, has a $59,000 program to save defunct federal government Web sites in the CyberCemetery archive. As I describe in a letter to the school paper, thousands of pages are being removed from the public record for lack of an organized plan to formally archive them. (Via TechDirt).
