Cory Doctorow's first novel, Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, has a premise worthy of Vonnegut -- a far-future battle for the soul of a retro cool DisneyWorld between a century-old young man killed four times and a group that committed the ultimate sacrilege in the Hall of the Presidents: an upgrade. I don't normally pre-order books, but as a Floridian who is raising his children on a steady diet of DisneyWorld, I couldn't resist this one.
