George Will on the third debate: "Bush's ambling on the stage and his low-voltage delivery of his words exhibited a kind of behavioral modesty, analogous to and expressive of conservatism's modest expectations for the uses of government." If Bush does this well without saying a word, and he routinely mangles words, maybe he should confine his campaign appearances to enthusiastic physical gestures.
