I'm too much of an art philistine to identify the movement, but the candid portrait of four men at a table looks like something a classical artist would have staged in paint. It's also a great topper for the idea that a good weblog is a conversation among friends that you can't tear yourself away from, even after the check has been paid and the waiter stops refilling your coffee so you'll take a hint and free up the table.
In the interest of full disclosure, I thought the giant banner with the streetside prostitute beckoning a passer-by in Amsterdam was disturbing.
