Boston newsman under the weather
Funny local story: Gary LaPierre, a popular radio news anchor in Boston, has been secretly telecommuting from his winter home on Anastasia Island south of St. Augustine, filing reports as if he were still up north experiencing the bitter winter storm:"Would you believe it's 5 below zero right now?" he told listeners yesterday at 6 a.m. "The only thing worse than the actual temperature right now is having the wind chill factored in."
Just to rub it in, temperatures here in St. Augustine have been in the 40s and 50s.
