Dollars for Dean

Writing for The New Republic, Jonathan Cohn does a good job making the case for Howard Dean:

If Dean has one clear strength over his rivals, it's that he grasps how taking occasional risks -- saying something controversial or attempting to lead public opinion rather than follow it -- can be a more viable political strategy than trying desperately never to stray far from majority views.

I made the first political contribution of my life this week, giving to the Dean campaign. I think he's one of the best Democratic candidates in years, and I wanted to add one to the unprecedented number of small-money donors funding his run.
