Worst-ever insult benefits Great author

One of the obsessions of this site, Robert Burrows' self-published book The Great American Parade, has taken off since being called the "worst novel ever published in the English language" by Gene Weingarten in the Washington Post in February.

There's now a second print edition from the online publisher Lulu and an official Web site, created by an admirer in New Zealand, that includes the full text of the book and political commentary by the author. I wish I could write a book that bad.
