Beastie Boys label up for auction

Grand Royal Records, the independent label created by the Beastie Boys in 1993, is being auctioned by its bankruptcy trustee on Bid4Assets. Bids start at $10,000. Artists at the label, which declared bankruptcy two years ago, included Scapegoat Wax, Atari Teenage Riot, and Luscious Jackson. The company went under right after releasing one of my favorite albums, Okeeblow. It took Marty James of Scapegoat Wax around a year to find a label and re-release the album with new tracks and a new name, Swax.
