Launched: Teach Yourself FrontPage 2003 in 24 Hours

Self-promotion: I've launched the Web site for my new book Sams Teach Yourself Microsoft FrontPage 2003 in 24 Hours, which hits stores this week.

The book covers the new edition of FrontPage and highlights several noteworthy new features: dynamic Web templates for easy site-wide design, server support for publishing XML data, and an "HTML cleaner" that can remove markup created by Word and other software. A sample chapter is available: Chapter 3, Display Graphics and Photos on a Page.

The site was created using FrontPage 2003 to create PHP, HTML, and RSS files; Radio UserLand to publish files; and a MySQL database to deliver dynamic content. This combination of Web technology brings to mind a quote by one of America's great statesmen:

What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is. -- Dan Quayle
