To forgive is Kakutani

For several years, the novelist Leslie Epstein has worried that he had pissed off Michiko Kakutani, the gloriously named New York Times book critic, with a series of classified ads that mentioned her.

Apparently not. As the New York Observer notes, Kakutani wrote a glowing review yesterday of Epstein's new book, San Remo Drive, calling it "a haunting and deeply affecting book."
