Protecting the president from a weblogger

Joe Dougherty of Attaboy could've looked out his office window at the Naval Air Station to see President Bush arrive in Jacksonville, but the security detail wouldn't let him:

From the window next to my desk, I could clearly see the roll-up aircraft embarkation ladders awaiting the arrival of the President's jet. I know that once it was parked on the ramp, I'd be able to see it and Mr. Bush as he arrived. But, those damn cops weren't going to allow me the opportunity. One came in a few moments before the plane landed and informed me that I had to close the blinds. I was also told that I could not stand near the glass door and watch the President disembark from the plane. Basically, I was a prisoner in my office, and unable to watch the arrival of the man for whom I indirectly work.
