Everybody's a critic -- of my face

The best reason to put your mug shot on your weblog -- objective criticism of your appearance from strangers:

I'm not trying to be cruel, but in your picture, between the 50's style glasses and the gray hair, you look more like 56 instead of 36. Is that a bad picture or do you really look like that?

Between this comment and a recent comparison to D-FENS, Michael Douglas' character in Falling Down, I'm beginning to think the Clubman Art-Rim glasses I had to special order last month may have gone out of style. I think the glasses are cool. I've actually wanted some like those for a while, but I'm not gutsy enough to commit to the what I call the "hipster geek" look full-time.
