RI Soft Systems sent me an e-mail letting me know I left a product in my online shopping cart more than a month ago. When I didn't do anything in response, they sent a second e-mail about it, so I complained.
A company marketing employee responded:
We have just begun this "abandoned cart" campaign. After the first round, all the carts were not emptied, and hence the second email. ...
If you put any NEW products in your cart and do not delete them, you will receive a friendly reminder the following month. If you do not wish to receive the emails, simply leave your cart empty when you visit us.
That won't be a problem.
