James Turner and Kevin Bedell have begun a Radio Userland weblog for Struts Kick Start, their new book on the Struts Web application framework from Apache.

Kick Start is a new series from Sams, the publisher of the Teach Yourself ... in 21 Days and Teach Yourself ... in 24 Hours books. The goal of the line is to provide concise, practical, hands-on information for developers. Books have been published to date on ASP.NET, BEA WebLogic Workshop, EJB, the Java API for XML (JAX), JSTL, Struts, and Tomcat.

A lot more Kick Start titles are in the works. I began work this week on one of my own, but I can't talk about the topic yet.

Thanks for the note about the book!

I'm pretty excited about the Kick Start series as well. Early on I believe SAMS was going to call it "Rapid Working Knowledge" with the idea that it was for working professionals that have a base knowledge of technology and allow them to come up to speed on a new technology quickly.

I'll look forward to seeing your title!

Kevin
