Dedication

To my sons, Max, Eli, and Sam Cadenhead, who have flown the coop and earned their places at two great Florida universities. In the decades since I completed my trek through Stephen F. Austin State University, Richland College, the University of Texas at Arlington, and the University of North Texas, I've learned that you bank all of the experience and education from college and draw from it for the rest of your life. I'm extremely proud to see you surpass me academically.

Acknowledgements

A book of this scope (and heft!) requires the hard work and dedication of numerous people. Most of them are at Sams Publishing in Indianapolis, and to them I owe considerable thanks -- in particular, to Boris Minkin, Gayle Johnson, Songlin Qiu, Anne Goebel, and Mark Taber. Most of all, thanks to my wife, Mary, and my sons, Max, Eli, and Sam.
