Commonly Asked Questions
- Q: I'm creating a new Web. I selecting File, New, and
then Web. Next, I attempt to open the Personal Web template
and I get a message as follows: "cannot find a web server at dmdwnjdz
on port 80." What can I do?
- A: On the New dialog box shown in Figure 2.1 (page 27),
there's a box labeled Specify the location of the new web. This box
can contain a reference to a Web server or a folder on your computer. The
easiest way to get started with FrontPage 2000 is to specify a folder where
your new Web should be stored.
To try this out, enter the text C:\MyWebs\Personal
in the Specify the location of the new web text box. (If you don't
have a C: hard drive, substitute a different drive letter instead,
such as D:\MyWebs\Personal).
When you create your new Web, it will be
stored in the MyWebs\Personal folder on the drive you specified.
